What Are Internet Marketing Tools And Why You Should Care
You probably heard of the Google Keyword Tool, Twitter, or WordPress but have you heard of Niche Refinery, Market Samaurai, or WordPress Direct? Chances are slim that you have. So what are they and why do we care about them? By the end of this post, you’ll hopefully have a better idea of what they are, how you could benefit from using them, and whether or not you should use them. Let’s begin.
What Are They?
The first set of internet marketing tools I mentioned, the keyword tool, Twitter, WordPress are internet software created by big companies. Let’s call those layer-1 software. However, when people started using them, they thought it could be improved for the way THEY were using it. For example, when I use the keyword tool, I have to type in the keyword I want to look up each time, set the columns I want to view, hit enter to see the results, export the keyword listing to a spreadsheet, mark up each one that I like or don’t like and then I repeat. Notice all those extra steps in there that are not specific to the software itself? That is some new internet marketing tools were created- to save someone like me time. So an internet marketing tool as I’m defining it is a web program/script that is built to be used exclusively with a layer-1 tool that saves time for the user. Niche Refinery, Market Samurai therefore would be layer-2 software.
How Should You Use Them
As I mentioned, these internet marketing tools are used to save time in a series of steps when I use the layer-1 software. They only work when I follow that specific work process. What do I mean by this? I’m currently subscribed to TheKeywordAcademy and the process I follow there works very well with the Niche Refinery tool. I was also trying out the Thirty Day Challenge and I used the Market Samurai tool for that. I would not have used the Market Samurai tool for the process I follow at the KeywordAcademy and vice verse for the the Thirty Day Challenge. What I recommend is that you tryout these training programs if you’re doing internet marketing. As part of the training, you’ll learn methods for building a money-making website and as a result be using tools specific for those methods. See which training method works for you. When I say this, I mean which method earns you money and fits with your style. Please do not just try out the software as they are very specific to a train of thought. And remember that they are only a tool and they themselves do not make you money. In the end, it’s you that will make yourself money and the tool just makes your life easier.
